This small study on canvas is a very spontaneous painting capturing the essence of sunset colours, light and mood just as the end of the day approaches the beginning of nightfall.
A symphony of colours: My new impressionist painting - ‘Daybreak Muse’
This is one of my favourites, ‘Daybreak Muse’, a recent impressionist sunrise. It’s had a few ‘lives’ along the way but it suddenly just worked when the colours, light and blending all came together. The glow descends from the clouds right down to the horizon.
