Discover the beauty of ‘Soft Autumn’ my new abstract landscape painting.

This acrylic on canvas landscape is 23 x 23 cms and entitled “Soft Autumn’.

I just love a blue sky on a clear Autumn day when the sun is glistening on the horizon.

The light and colour was achieved with a lot of movement of broader brushstrokes, followed by delicate blending, resulting in the different blue tones creating depth and distance.

Generally I am more drawn to painting the colours of a sunset or sunrise but I really enjoyed painting ‘Soft Autumn’ as it seemed to evolve naturally. A case of getting lost in the moment.

I just love the light on the horizon and the colours of Autumn but in particular the soft unique light at that time of year.
