Sometimes you need a bit of colour in your life and this small acrylic landscape painting ‘Afternoon Tranquility’ has a lot of vibrant pinks and purples.

I love the colours and i think in the right setting it would be perfect for any room or office.

It was really spontaneous to paint with broad brushstrokes and then adding finer details of yellow and orange creating a lot of movement and energy which is reflected in the foreground with the touches of pale yellow.

Although quite abstract it is also quite an impressionist sunset, almost exaggerated to give atmosphere and impact.

A painting to live with but bring a smile to your face.
