I love the texture in this beautiful landscape painting ‘Twilight Shadows’.

It is quite a misty shadowy landscape and reminds me of the Yorkshire Moors.

It’s quite blended for one of my smaller paintings which are usually more abstract. The blending creates depth and the pale blue adds light to the sky.

I’m usually drawn to the colours of a sunrise or sunset but this one was just about the light.

The slightly different colours in the sky give the impression of cloud and the glow on the horizon creates shadows in the foreground.
