‘Spring Twilight’ one of my favourite abstract paintings.

‘Spring Twilight’

Acrylic on canvas - 29 x 29 cms

This painting ‘Spring Twilight’ one of my favourite abstract paintings is probably one of my most abstract with all the large brushstrokes especially the orange and yellow on the horizon.

I like the dark shadows in the foreground and bold but minimal brushstrokes creating movement upward.

The white gives the right amount of light in the peachy background with the burgundy and brown coming through the blues in the sky. The sunset was almost gone but it somehow still feels warm.

That one moment when the clarity of colour and light from the day meets the enveloping cloud and shadows of the night

I painted this whilst listening to music and it just seemed to work as the colours and the music flowed together.

I do feel each painting almost takes me on a journey, some a little longer than others but they all get there in the end.

This painting was sold to a private collector.
