One of my favourites ‘Heather Mist’

‘Heather Mist’

50 x 50 cms

Acrylic on stretched canvas

This 50x50 cm stretched canvas painting is one of my favourites with its soft and subdued colours in my impressionist style.

It is based on a visit through the Yorkshire Moors with its beautiful heather colours.

I intentionally laid back on detail and blurred and muted the colours to enhance the misty fogginess that the moors possess using soft pinks and purples to give atmosphere and light.

Dawn is breaking and the early morning mist is lifting though still leaving its effect whilst waiting for the day to start.

Heather Mist is included with twelve other paintings currently with The Last Supper Gallery in Battersea, London and you can email me for more information.
