‘Morning Lustre’

This painting is part of my ‘Affordable Art’ series and is painted in my semi-abstract style in acrylic on canvas.

I had some colours leftover after finishing a large canvas so decided to use the minimal palette. It really made me focus more on the painting without a more elaborate selection of colours.

I asked myself is it too bold, will it look wrong, does it work and if I make that mark will everything gel when I take off the masking tape?

For me it does.

It’s a very spontaneous painting which I always gravitate to when the art is smaller.
