This new painting ‘Evening Blush’ is part of my latest collection and can be seen on my ‘New Paintings’ page.

The series studies the light of sunrises and sunsets at this time of year with all the beautiful colours, seen especially in the gorgeous peachy tones of this painting and I love how they almost take over the whole sky.

Then so many different tones give movement to the ever changing sky.

Evening Blush Abstract Landscape Painting by Mary Burtenshaw

‘Evening Blush’ 22 × 21.5 cms

‘Evening Blush’ was painted with just one round brush rather than the flat brushes I usually use.

It was great to try something new both using the length of the round brush and then just the tip to create different brushstrokes

This painting would brighten any large or small space in the home or office.
