I love how the glow in the sky worked in this impressionist landscape painting.

The touches of yellow on either side just pull your eye down to the light on the focal point.

The reflection of the light in the sky on to the landscape below really gives the impression of early morning with the gorgeous greens and the flash of turquoise just below the horizon.

That shining light highlights in the burgundy and red tones in the trees below.

The blue tones give a mood to the dawn of a new day.

I used a mix of different colours in both the sky and landscape adding hooker green to violet blue to create deeper tones.

I painted with very large brushes using a lot of blending then adding sprays of water and some abstract detail.
