Today’s landscape painting is ‘Morning Dawn’.

This is a perfect size for any space……

Today I have been getting some inspiration from some older unsold paintings and today’s landscape painting is ‘Morning Dawn’.

I particularly like this one with the bright blue in the sky and the vivid greens in the foreground.

I often look back at older paintings to get inspiration as over the years you forget what worked and what did not but I think this one still works as it’s a combination of the brushstrokes and colour combination.

This one is pretty abstract compared to some of the paintings I am doing now.

There is a misty quality to ‘Morning Dawn’ especially on the horizon.

There are minimal brushstrokes which I why I like it but the sky has some blending with the use of larger brushes.

It is quite spontaneous especially the touches of white in the sky.

The greens are quite luscious and they really work with the sky.

Not sure why ‘Morning Dawn’ never sold but maybe it will now.
