Discover the Beauty of ‘Soaring Sky’: My New Abstract Landscape Painting

This acrylic on canvas landscape is 23 x 23 cm. and entitled “Soaring Sky’.

I experimented with colour and brushstrokes, some of which are bolder and some more delicate and minimal but still capturing the beauty of a unique sunset.

Sometimes all it takes is a few strokes of colour to interpret the daylight on the horizon blending into the setting sun. Often that can be a challenge between less is more and more is less. There is never a set number of brushstrokes in creating an impressionist sunset and then adding blending to give depth.

It’s controlled spontaneity to create that ‘one moment in time’.

I love the yellow and red which adds drama but still provides a soft feel to the light.
