‘Wistful Evening’

A very spontaneous small sunset study capturing the essence of sunset colours, mood and light. I intentionally zoned in to catch that one moment in time when the last glimmer of the day starts to disappear.

The strokes of burgundy colour captures the atmosphere of the early evening light with the smallest touches of red and yellow. It is a limited palette but it has given me some ideas for a larger canvas.
