Today’s landscape painting is ‘Ebbing Dusk’

This new painting ‘Ebbing Dusk’ has become one of my recent favourites.

As an artist you of course have lots of favourites but you will always be slightly more pleased with some more than others, although you never ever ‘finish’ a painting that you are not happy with.

‘Ebbing Dusk’ is a favourite because it evolved so effortlessly. I didn’t, as I often do agonise over the brushstrokes or colours. The textures and the sweeping brushstrokes in the sky just seemed to happen.

‘Ebbing Dusk’ is 22 x 21.5 cms acrylic on canvas. It would work really well as a large canvas as these smaller paintings are often studies for larger works.
