‘Rustic Breeze’ one of my favourite abstract paintings.

This painting is one of my favourites because it has a sense of freedom and energy in the brushstrokes even though it has minimal colour and I feel it has a Spring like quality. I like the overall effect as it’s more abstract with less blending in order to convey the cold but misty feel of the landscape in the distance with a suggestion of bushes and trees.

Those horizon colours really reflect back the light from the sky into swirling white clouds in the blue Spring sky.

‘Rustic Breeze’ - Acrylic on canvas - 28 × 27.5 cms

‘Rustic Breeze’ has a freedom of energy in the brushstrokes in the blue and white sky and in the ochres and greens in the landscape below.

A real fresh taste of Springtime.
